
Preston James Dugas III was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He graduated from St. Paul’s High School in May of 1999. As a high school student, Preston participated in soccer and won a State Championship with his soccer team. In August of 1999, he began attending Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, where he lives today. While attending TCU, Mr. Dugas was nominated for a communications award in the Neeley School of Business. Mr. Dugas received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with a focus in Finance from TCU in May of 2003. Mr. Dugas then attended Oklahoma City University School of Law, where he made the Dean’s List. He then transferred to St. Mary’s University School of Law and competed in several mock trial competitions. Mr. Dugas graduated from St. Mary’s Law School in May of 2006, and received his Juris Doctorate Degree.
As an associate attorney with Parker McDonald, P.C., Mr. Dugas’ practice areas consist of plaintiff’s serious injury and wrongful death, dangerous pharmaceuticals and medical devices, property tax litigation and commercial litigation. Mr. Dugas is admitted to practice in the State of Texas and in the Federal Eastern District of Texas Courts.
Mr. Dugas is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Tarrant County Trial Lawyers Association, Tarrant County Bar Association, Tarrant County Young Lawyers Association, Eldon B. Mahon Inn of Court, Dallas Bar Association, Dallas Young lawyers Association.
As a committed member and contributor of the community, Mr. Dugas serves as an At-Large Member of the St. Mary’s Law Alumni Chapter in Dallas, Board of Director for the Tarrant County Young Lawyers Association, and volunteers for different charity events, such as the Tarrant County Back 2 School Roundup.
In 2010, Mr. Dugas was recognized by Fort Worth, Texas magazine as a Top Attorney. He was selected as a 2012 Texas Rising Star by Thomson Reuters as published in Super Lawyers magazine.
Mr. Dugas is married with one child.
