
Mr. McDonald’s thirty year career has been devoted exclusively to litigation. Over the span of his career, he has litigated hundreds of cases including over a hundred cases tried to jury verdict. Within the litigation field, Mr. McDonald has had an extremely diverse practice.

Prior to starting his own firm in 1991, Mr. McDonald was a partner in the trial section of Kelly Hart and Hallman, a major firm with several Fortune 500 clients. During his years at Kelly Hart and Hallman, Mr. McDonald practiced in a broad area of complex commercial and business cases, including construction, banking, antitrust and intellectual property. During these years, Mr. McDonald also had a substantial personal injury defense practice including products liability and medical and hospital negligence.
In 1991, Mr. McDonald started his own law firm to engage in a contingent fee practice representing plaintiffs. Since starting his own firm 19 years ago, Mr. McDonald has focused primarily on pharmaceutical and medical device cases, medical and legal malpractice, cases involving catastrophic injuries and wrongful death and major business disputes including the representation of owners of oil, gas and mineral interests. Mr. McDonald has also had the distinction of serving as regional steering counsel for the silicone gel breast implant litigation, the fen-phen diet drug litigation and the Baycol litigation.
Mr. McDonald obtained his bachelor’s degree from Baylor University in 1977 and his law degree from Southern Methodist University in 1980. Mr. McDonald has been an entrepreneur in law and has been at the forefront of many cutting edge legal battles for thirty years. Mr. McDonald established Parker McDonald, PC, with his colleague and friend of many years, Brad Parker, in order to continue this tradition of providing outstanding service and results to clients. Since 1989, Mr. McDonald has been extremely involved with the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Fort Worth. He currently serves on the Board of Directors and the Board of Governors. Additionally, Mr. McDonald and his wife started a foundation which provides four year college scholarships annually to high school seniors who are members of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Fort Worth.
